Greg Neufeld - Greg Neufeld - Album Review

Photobucket

Yes, Greg has a new album out! And it is GOOD. Greg debuted this 7 songs album on tour with Lukas Rossi at the end of January 2008. Reviews of the shows I attended can be found here for The Horseshoe show in Toronto, and here for The Dungeon show in Oshawa.

1 - Leaving Song
I love the lyrics of this song. It is a sad song, but the guitar is very hopeful, almost joyful, like a liberation of some sort. Beautiful melody supporting Greg's silky vocals.

I tried to leave without using the door
But you deserve more
You deserve much more
These are the things
That I should have said
But I could never know
So I will sing them instead

These mistakes that I've made
I know what I've done
These regrets are coming home
Now that I've sung them

This is for you
It's a leaving song
And I know it's not much
But it's all I've got
And I'm not even sure how the ending should go
But it's gotta end so
Lalala la la
Something like
Lalala la la

2 - Secret
Oh I love the slow pace of this kind of jazzy song. It allows Greg's vocals to really shine high and bright, to envelop itself around the melody. The slightly plaintive guitar adds a touch of melancholy to the song. The bridge is where Greg's vocals really explode, taking it to the next level. Gorgeous.

Yeah you make me feel
Just like I did back when I was a child
And I just can't hold it inside
I gotta tell the world tonight
How you made me your

Dirty little secret
You never told me
To keep it
My mouth has run off and I'm
Sorry, at least I would like to be
But how can I break
A promise that I didn't
Oh yeah
How can I break
A promise that I didn't make
How can I break
A promise that I didn't even make

3 - Map of The Stars
The rhythmic guitar really makes this a song one cannot help but move to.It also lends itself really well to a live, acoustic setting. The layered vocals are awesme, too.

And in the black of the night
I caught a flicker of light
I swear it must have been you
Trying to reach me across the universe

How could you not stay
I was much too proud to beg
Now I know
Should not have let you go
We were so close to beautiful
We were so close to beautiful

And now I'm watching above
To get a glimpse of your love
And now I'm watching above above above yeah

I bought a map of the stars
To find the place where you are

4 - So Far
Greg recorded this song before. This rework version has a totally different vibe. The added instruments really support the beautiful lyrics, rendering them even more powerful. The bridge has a totally different feel to it than the rest of the song, but it all ties together brilliantly.

Did you know you are a part of my plan
Did you know I was trying to be a better man
A better man than the last

Look over your shoulder
I'm waving goodbye again
You keep walking forward
You never look back
And until the next time
When everything's new again
I'll be here waiting
My head in my hands

Waiting for life to break through
Break through the darkest night
And bring the new day
Wait for the words
To tell you
All that I feel inside
Instead I chase you away

5 - Sleep You Off
The passionate piano and the tribal drums pave the way to Greg's velvety vocals. So much passion and emotions in this sad song. Greg raspy voice really brings home these raw emotions. This song is AMAZING live.

Ok, it's light
I'll lay here for a little while longer
It didn't work
It didn't help
Maybe I should try to be somebody else
I hate this bed
I hate this room
Another 9:15 walking up without you
There's no where to go and nothing to say
You wouldn't want to see me like this anyway

If I can sleep you off
If I can close my eyes
And wake up like I forgot
If I can dream you out
Of all the things I've missed
Somehow ...... than this?

6 - Your Eyes
I totally love the vibe of this song. The drums and the bass really lay down a great backdrop for Greg's vocals. The chorus is catchy, one remember it easily. Very nice.

My world
Don't know
It's changed for good
The light it face to the darkness
Your eyes
They spoke
I understood
And now you're leaving
And the lights are going down down
On the street where we grew together down down
There's a shadow on this town

You said it all with your eyes
You said your goodbyes
Yeah so save your replies
And every single reason why
The lights have all gone out

7 - Powerless
What can I say about this song that I have not already? It's just so gorgeous... It's got it all... Beautiful guitar, plaintive cello, subtle vocals in their delivery yet powerful in lyrical content... Just brilliant.

Come find your way
Into this place
I won't breath a word
I just need your faith
Sometimes I don't mean
The words that I say
We are only human
And that's ok

There's no one else
To blame
No one else
To blame
We're just powerless to change

Greg Neufeld - Greg Neufeld-EP - Album Review

Greg Neufeld, of Canadian Idol fame, is now pursuing a solo career, after being in a band called Dimarco for a few years. He has an EP out, with 7 beautiful songs, two of which are completely new. You want to purchase it? Come to a show, or drop Greg a line! His band album is also available on iTunes, under Dimarco (Dimarco - EP).

A mix of Dave Matthews meet John Mayer meet Damien Rice, the songs simply are amazing!

1. You Came With a Kiss
The album opener is a good one! Reminiscent of John Mayer's "My Stupid Mouth", this song has a great intro with the guitar. The bridge, with the harmonica, leads in to the chorus very well. Greg's vocals are beautiful and very well supported by the drums and the guitars.

I'm not a ghost, getting to close to me, that's what they see...

2. At Your Door
This song is so good live, with just an acoustic guitar and velvety vocals. The harmonica at the top gives it a nice little mellow feel.

You, you were an angel, just waiting to fly, So why, did you think that this was a joy ride, just waiting to collide, at your door, at your door, at your door...

3. Chase These Clouds
Great, great song. The beat is addictive, the chorus is catchy... The lyrics are beautiful. One of two new songs.

I never wanted this rain to fall but I
Guess it's alright if your at the door and I'm
Hoping you might be the one to
Wave your hand and
Chase these clouds away...

4. Rewind
Another song that totally rocks live. The guitar is so great on this, wow! With a Dave Matthews feel to it, this song allows Greg's gritty vocals to soar in the chorus and bridge. Can't help but groove to this one!

You scream just to know that your heart still glows...

5. Fire
Beautiful acoustic guitar, gorgeous velvety vocals, well thought out lyrics. Simply fantastic.

I ran through the fire
But the rain came down and washed us away
But I ran with my head in my hand
Well I guess you can blame me for this too
If you only knew...

6.Courtyard
Somehow the guitar at the top reminds me of Matchbox 20. But then the funky, jazzy guitar and bright drums kick in and it just feels like a Dimarco song. Great groove, sexy guitar, love the lyrics

And it got me thinking...
Don't be afraid to call my bluff
Don't be afraid to call my bluff
Don't be afraid to call my bluff
Coz I, I am bluffing...

7.Powerless To Change
Gorgeous acoustic guitar, plaintive cello, emotional, smooth vocals... What's not to love? Just close your eyes, let the music penetrates you...

Come find your way
Into this place
I won't breath a word
I just need your faith
Sometimes I don't mean
The words that I say
We are only human
And that's ok

There's no one else
To blame
No one else to blame
We're just powerless to change

Once in a while I feel like
Maybe I know
Why you cry at night
Broken in tongue
I'd find a way
To get up and go
If I could see your smile
From out on the road

There's no one else
To blame
No one else to blame
We're just powerless to change
We're just powerless to change

There's no one else
To blame
No one else to blame
We're just powerless to change
Powerless to change
Just powerless to change
We're powerless to change

Andrew Austin - Just The Way I Feel - Album Review

I picked up Andrew Austin's album, Just The Way I Feel just about 2 weeks ago. The album is available for purchase at CD Baby. One can also listen to the album tracks there. Here's what I thought of the album, as well as some lyrics from each song.

Just The Way I Feel

Photobucket

1. Intro
Such a nice, mellow start to the album, nice lead in to the first song...

"I have come here to rest my bones
After 48 hours on the phone
It seems to me you put me in my place
After 48 hours in outer space..."

2. Just the Way I Feel
Nice groovy song. Horns give this a nice jazzy feel to it. I cannot help but move to this song, snapping my fingers, swaying my hips.

"It's not gonna be my fault this time,
Just the way I feel..."

3.This is Love
I really like Andrew's vocals on this one. The piano adds a nice little touch to this funky tune. This song is totally amazing live!

"If you think that this is love, I did too
Give me something deep, from your soul
I know It's the music that makes it so..."

4.Anna
Sexy, sexy song! I absolutely adore the piano on this, it gives it a bit of a melancholic feel to it. Very well written.

"I'm not privy to what you say
The silence rarely gets us anywhere anyway
I know you think that I'm too late
I'm still gonna sit right here and wait..."

Although in the liner notes, that last line was printed as "But I still think you're fucking great..."

5.I Get Lonely
I adore the strong reggae vibe of that song. Very very cool.

"Last night I did not sleep a wink
My pillow's too wet with the tears I cry
Can't see down to put my shoes on
My body counts as a carry on..."

6.Turn Me Over
Beautiful lyrics, beautiful voice (I love Andrew's lower register, wow), gorgeous acoustic guitar, addictive chorus. Mmmmm...

"Turn me over on love
It's not like I need it
We haven't spoken in days now
Cuz you don't care
That's what probably is making me sad..."

7.Sleep
My absolute favorite from the album. This simple piano tune lets Andrew's soft vocals shine brightly. This song is beautiful live, played on piano and guitar...

"Sleep beneath the lights my darling sleep
Oh sleep
I would love to kiss your mouth but I won't
Ruin this moment

I won't say a word
The silence speaks louder
At least that's what I heard
I won't say a word

This love will never come back
This love has run its last lap
this love will never come back..."

Blake Lewis - Audio Day Dream - Album Review

Blake Lewis' debut album, Audio Day Dream (ADD) has finally been released! And it does not disappoint. Many big names appear on this album. Ryan Tedder of One Republic has co-written 7 of the songs, while Lewis co-wrote them all but one. Other collaborators to appear on the album are Steph Jones, Evan Boggart, Chris Richardson, Sam Watters, Josh Hoge, Sam Hollander, Jonathan Rotem, BT, Mike Elizondo and so many others. Lewis even gets a mention for co-producing "What' Cha Got 2 Lose?

ADD has received many great reviews so far. As of right now, the album is at #2 on the Top Album chart on iTunes USA (#27 on iTunes Canada) and #1 on the Top Pop Album on iTunes USA (#5 on iTunes Canada). The song "How Many Words" seems to be the americans favorite (according to iTunes USA), while the bonus track "Human" is currently the most popular download on iTunes Canada.

I think it is safe to say that Blake's debut album is doing really well!!!

1-Silence is Golden (Intro)

I really like the idea of an intro, interludes and outro for an album. This one as an etheral vibe to it, that intrigues and leads into the next song really well.

Break Anotha

First single off the album, this groovy, a-little-bit-of-everything song warns us all about the dark side of those around us. Nice first introduction to show off what Blake can do. Good vocals, awesome beats that make you groove and move. Catchy chorus that one can't help but sing along to. Love this one for its rock/hip-hop/electro/ska vibes. The break down is amazing!

3-Gots to Get Her

Love the spanish influenced guitar and the horns at the beginning. Inspired by "Puttin'on the Ritz", this is another great get up and dance song. This little passage in the song says it all for me:

"Every little thing that she does is magic, All I really know is I've got to have it"

4-Know My Name (feat. Lupe Fiasco)

This song was leaked a while ago. It was an unfinished version, without Lupe's rap. Gotta say, the rap does add to the song. About Celebrity crushes, Lewis has been teased about this one since he mentioned it was about Nathalie Portman, his own celebrity crush. Vocals are amazing, with some Prince like falsettos thrown in. Fantastic.

5-How Many Words

One of Lewis favorite and most personal song, this one is the kind of song almost anyone can relate to. For those out there longing for Lewis' velvety vocals, this song's for you. One of my very favorite off this album.

"I', letting you go, You're letting me down, Been caught in your reign and I almost drowned"

6-Surrender

The lyrics are great. The beats are awesome, sexy, pulls you in. I love the layering of vocals and back vocals. This one has a real One Republic flavor.

7-Hate 2 Love Her

Lots of piano on this, it reminds me of One Republic because of it. The bridge is totally rad, with the piano building up. Blake's vocals are again fantastic. The A.D.H.D. interlude is probably my favorite of them all.

8-Without You

To me, this is the weakest track on the album and it is still a great song. Blake's crooning vocals are silky and sexy. I adore how he sings it softly throughout the song, only to build it up in the bridge with the piano. The ending with the layered vocals is really, really nice. Over all, a bit cheesy around the edges, but still a beautiful melody to sway from side to side to.

9-Here's My Hello

The chorus of this one is KILLER. Wow. There's a bit of a robotic/electronic feel at the very beginning and then in the bridge. Love it. The lower vocals in the bridge are so sexy.........

"Here's my Hello, Don't say goodbye, Do you want me, Just stay here with me tonight"

Oh and the Dirty Funk interlude? LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

10-What'Cha Got 2 Lose?

One of two track co-written with Chris Richardson. The 30 second snippet on iTunes does NOT make this song justice. Absolutely adore the robotic vocals throughout. The bridge reminds me a bit of Michael Jackson. Very funky and fun. This song benefits from several listen.

11-She's Making Me lose It

Blake is channeling his inner Prince on this fun song. Oh does he ever! Once again the chorus is very catchy and the beats are funky and addictive. The instrumental bridge, with the vocal build-up right after are simply brilliant.

"I can't help myself, When she... She causes me to lose control"

12-Bshorty grabs Mic!

Beatboxing lovers, this one's for you!!!! Recorded live, this one is pure Bshorty magic.

13-End of the World

Another one of my very favorite. Big on vocals, this song shows Blake's range really nicely. The lyrics are beautiful and heartfelt, yet simple. The ethereal vibe, almost Imogen Heap-ish, of this song gives it a bit of a sad note, almost melancholic.

"I'm too weak to be strong, I can't be the only one, Holding on 'til the day you find me, Meet me at the end of the world, I'm waiting, Meet me at the end of the world, Please save me, This could be the place where we start, The rest of our lives"

14-1000 Miles

The guitar throughout is reminiscent of ... I can't pinpoint it, but to me, the guitar is very distinctive. Classic 80's pop feel to this great song, including the robotic bridge. Love, love, love the lyrics.

"But did my words find you then?"

15-I Got U

Very nice ballad. Blake's vocals are so good on this, wow. I love the electro feel of this one. Very catchy lyrics leading up to the chorus. Love the synth.

"But it don't matter, As long as I got U"

16-I Choose Noise (Outro)

Absolutely adore Blake's ethereal vocals on this. The Kaoss pad additions are great!

17-Human (iTunes Bonus Track)

This is currently my very favorite. Co-written with Chris Richardson, the robotic intro grabs you right away. The vocals are stellar on this, letting Blake's voice shine bright. The lyrics are amazing, the bridge is pure genius - falsettos, robotic vocals, beatboxing - brilliant. The chorus is so damn catchy, I knew it all after only two listen (and that's a big accomplishment in my mind). The fact that this song didn't make the album just blows my mind and makes me wonder how many other gems currently sit in Blake Lewis' music journal.

"I'm just Human, Want to do things to ya, Sugar tell me where and when to start, I'm just human, And I don't want to loose it, Got to find a way into your heart, Before it's too late"

Magni Asgeirsson - Magni - Album Review

Magni Asgeirsson - Magni

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Magni finally release his new album! It is available in iTunes, of course. 13 songs, 11 new and 2 covers. It might not be what peopel would expect from Magni. There are a few rock songs, but most of the album has a great singer/songwriter feel to it. Soft, seductive vocals gently accompanying heartfelt and thoughtful lyrics. I'll be honest - at the first listen, I was a bit dissapointed. But I've always loved Magni's voice - so pure and clear - and so I decided to give the album a chance... And I am not dissapointed anymore. The more I listen to the songs, the more I love them!

1-If I Promised You the World
Magni's introspective lyrics and soft vocals take you on a journey to his heart. Great melancolic guitar, Magni gently offers this soft side of him to us.

2-Words Unspoken
The guitar is GREAT on this. Again, Magni's vocals are pretty soft and subdued. But it works for this song. This song gets better and better with each listen.

3- Play With Me
This song has apprently been written for Magni's son, Marino. The guitar and the piano are so good. Magni doesn't show the full potential of his voice on this, but it is showcase in a very beautiful and simple way. Uplifting song that can't help but make you smile.

>4-See You Tonight
This song showcase Magni and his guitar. Plain and simple. The guitar is haunting, the vocals are emotional. This feels so intimate. Simple. Beautiful. Gorgeous.

5-Alone
A more uptempo song, but still very melancholic. Magni's voice seems to be too soft for the guitar and the drums; feels like he's being drowned out. The chorus is really good - the guitars are totally captivating. There's even a little hint of spanish flavor in the bridge.

6-Addicted
Acoustic guitar, slower tempo than the previous song. The percussions are catchy, creating a nice vibe fr this song. The pleading lyrics are poignant. This song offers a really nice set up for Magni's voice - going from soft, plentive, to powerful and gritty.

7-Mistake
The melody is really beautiful. It has kind of a summery feeling to it, which is a bit of a strange contrast with the rather sad lyrics. Still, there's a bit of hope in there...

8-Tear us Apart
Piano and guitar, coupled with the beautiful vocals make this song a very catchy one. This is a love song filled with hope. I really like the way Magni's voice changes throughout the song.

9-You Say
The guitars and organ give a bit of a 70's feel to this song. Once again, I feel the mixing is not up to part and Magni's voice gets drowned out here and there. But his vocals are still beautiful and powerful.

10-Creep
Magni covered that song on the reality show RockStar Supernova. No one was left unmoved by his rendition. This recording of it is no exception. This is the perfect song to showcacse Magni's complete range, from the very soft, tender voice, the powerful, "angstful" grit. I absolutely adore that the guitar is really only accompanying his voice, that the vocals completely carry this song. I do miss the driving guitars a bit tho...

11-Let Me in the Dark
Oh the drums at the beginning totally pull me in. The most rocking song of the album. Great great guitar riffs throughout.

12-World Alone
Starts off with acoustic guitar alone, vocals are sad and melancholic. The keyboard adds to the melancholic feel of the song. The chorus allows Magni's voice to expand, to take off just a tiny bit... Heartbreaking.

13-Dolphin's Cry
This is another song that Magni covered on RockStar Supernova. I fell in love with it when he performed this on the show. This version is from the Birthday Bash concert in Reykjavik in December 2006. What a beautiful, pure voice Magni has. This is another song that really show Magni's voice full potential. Hearing the crowd sing along adds so much to this song. Another cover that is taylor-made for Magni!

Matchbox 20 - Exile on Mainstream - Album Review

Matchbox 20 - Exile on Mainstream

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Exile on Mainstream is the fourth album by Matchbox Twenty and is a greatest hits album containing all of their eleven previous hits and six new tracks. Available for purchase on iTunes and every store, the cd also contains videos for the 11 previously released songs. The first single, "How Far We've Come" is doing really; it is located at #13 on iTunes Canada in the Top Songs section. The album is also charting really well, still hanging in the Top 100 Albums on iTunes Canada.

You can visit Matchbox 20 on their MySpace page, s well as on their Official Website.

1-How Far We've Come
Such a great rock song for a first single. The beat is addictive, the bridge is just cool with Rob's suave, smooth voice. Fast paced and addictive.

2-I'll Believe You When
Infused with country flavors, this song makes you bop your head in time with the music. Rob's voice sounds great. This song will be a fun one in concert.

3-All Your Reasons
The fun, acoustic sing along at the beginning is very catchy! This song is vintage Matchbox 20. The guitar is amazing!

4-These Hard Times
The lyrics of this song are very touching. Nice little ballad.

5-If I Fall
The chorus is catchy; Rob's vocls soar and carry this one. Very good beat, sorta sixty-style pop, but not quite pop enough... Still good.

6-I Can't Let You Go
A little bit of blues in this one. Great, great mid-tempo ballad, sweet sweet love song. The piano gives it a little bit more... Matchbox 20 at its finest. I can't let you go, You're part of my soul, You're all that I know...

The rest of the album goes like this:

1-Long Day
2-Push
3-3 A.M.
4-Real World
5-Back 2 Good
6-Bent
7-If You’re Gone
8-Mad Season
9-Disease
10-Unwell
11-Bright Lights

The Mob Law - Hold Us Down - Album Review

The Mob Law - Hold Us Down

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The Mob Law is a rock/hip-hop trio band from Seattle Washington. They recently released an album called "Hold us Down". Weaving rock, hip-hop and reggae through 17 songs - yes, 17!!! - the album flows well, has great empowering lyrics and is dynamic. I absolutely adore that they mix all those genres together throughout the album but also within the songs themselves. The album is available for purchase on iTunes and CDBaby. You can also visit The Mob Law's website and their Myspace Page.

1-Hold Us Down
I love this song as the opener. Edgy, rocking, catchy.

2-Save Me
The vibe of this one is amazing. The reggae and rock mix well in here and create a song that makes me want to close my eyes and just let my body move.

3-I Would Never
The lyrics of this song are great and well thought out. Makes for a nice hip-hop-y, rocky kind of tune. The drums are very present in this one, love it. Caleb's and Danny's vocals are very clear here, and compliment each other really well.

4-Can't Sleep
Being more of a rock chick, I really enjoyed this song. Pure rock with great guitar riffs, driving beats and beautiful vocals, with just the right amount of grit mix in it. The change in tempo near the end is a nice surprise.

5-Swingin' in the Trees
Nice little acoustic guitar to start off, great singer/songwriter vibe. Then the guitar grabs you and makes you take notice.

6-Unrest
Oh, I love this one. Great guitar, awesome beat, but mostly, it's Caleb's vocals that just did it for me in this song. His voice really shines here. The lyrics are very good too... It doesn't feel right - I don't think you should know...

7-Promises
Awesome rock song, with just a tiny hint of punk. This one has great potential to be a radio hit! Nice little rap about mid-way through the song. That was a nice surprise!

8-Life Worth Livin'
Great opening, with some acoustic and electric guitar. Caleb starts singing... Rapping is more the term. Surprise, surprise! From the guitars at the top, I was expecting more of a rock song.... But that's not quite it. I think this song really is a great example of what The Mob Law is all about - a little bit of rock, a little bit of hip-hop, a little bit of reggae. Catchy song, makes you want to get up and dance and shake that booty!

9-This Mornin'
A little bit of a John Mayer feel right at the top. Very smooth, with hints of jazz throughout.

10-Stuck
That's the song to pogo to. Sort of a Green Day feel to this one. Amazing beats, driving guitars... Fun song!

11-Keep on Shinin'
Straight up hip-hop, with hints of reggae. Another vibey, get up and shake that groovy thing kind of song.

12-Warrior
Alright, this one reaks of reggae! Love the rapping, the edgy guitar, the rythm.... And the drum building up near the end.... Cymbal orgasm! Crank this up and dance!

13-Never Seen
Loving the guitar very much in this one. It's just too bad it sort of drowns the vocals at times... Freaking catchy chorus... Put 'em up, put 'em up...

14-Serial Killer
Driving down the street... Windows rolled down.... Headbanging, drumming the beat on the stirring wheel...

15-Strip Club
Love the drums in this one. They are really put at the foreground. It's a bit of a strange song, with clear rock parts, then a rapping part right in the middle of the song. That's what makes me love this song, this whole album - you never really know what to expect!

16-Sickness
The end's amazing with the drum!

17-Waiting so Long
Great punk rock song, with an awesome, awesome rap! I can see this one getting the crowd in a frenzy at the top of a concert. Would make a great opener!!!

Bo Bice - See The Light - Album Review

Bo Bice - See The Light

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Bo returns to his southern rock roots with this highly anticipated album. And he doesn't dissapoint! Bo had an online listening party on Oct 23, the day of the official album release. He spent 3 hours online with his fans, it was awesome. He played the album for the fans, talked about his collaborations with many artists/friends and called many others. It was really cool. This album is great from top to bottom. Not one bad song on it. Not one! The album is available on iTunes and many stores for purchase - go get your copy! You can also visit bobice.com to listen to the album there and post a review. Here's mine:

1-Witness
Great opening for the album, great for a first single. I love the dual guitars, it's amazing. It's a crank-up-the-volume-roll-the-windows-down-drive-100-miles-an-hour-sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs feel good kind of song.

2-Take the Country out of Me
Great, great, great rock country song. A little bit of funk, a little bit of country, a little bit of rock... Love the piano on this. Have great potential to be a hit.

3-I'm Gone
Bo's voice is beautiful on this. The guitars are powerful, Bo's voice is full of emotions and the lyrics are really good. Don't let the slow, tender start fool you...

4-Only Words
Bo talked about this song a lot during his online listening party. He wrote this with a girl who broke his heart in mind. This song is full on country in sound, the whiny guitar and the sax adding to the emotions of the lyrics. Bo's vocals are rich and deep, just beautiful.

5-Got Money
Great bluesy song, full of funk and nice guitar riffs. I can see this one being a HUGE hit live. The way the song starts pulls you in right away. Great catchy chorus.

6-See the Light
Bo's sexy voice hits you right in the chest right from the top. The percussions really makes this a dirty song, the vocals make it sexy and the guitars make it soar. This sexy, funky, bluesy rock song grabs you when the chorus starts... The way the song is structured, it reminds me a bit of "Wanted Dead or Alive" from Bon Jovi. Which ain't a bad thing, man!

7-Sinner in a Sin
If I am not mistaken, this song was on Bo's previous album, The Real Thing, as a bonus track. I absolutely adore this song. It is a very "Bo" song to me. The plentive harmonica, the whiny guitar, the soft piano, Bo's vocals and the wonderful backvocals of this song makes it an absolutely beautiful song. The arrangement is brilliant and really allows Bo's voice to shine. A must listen!

8-This Train
Great rock song with still just a hint of country with the guitar and harmonica. This song makes me want to get up and dance! Great catchy chorus.

9-Ain't Gonna Die
Oh, Bo gets the grit out on this one! Driving guitars, addicting beat, gritty, dirty vocals. What's not to love? This is a great rock song that promises to really, really, REALLY ROCK in concert.

10-Whiskey, Women & Time
Another song that was on The Real Thing as a bonus track (or B-side, I can't never really remember). The arrangement is a bit more rocking, a bit more funky, a bit more gritty. The lead vocal and backvocals go so well together and add so much depth to the song. The drum and the organ are absolutely amazing!
